speech bubble speech bubbleI feel really down and and I've been off work for weeks. I can't face going in but I can't afford to lose my job. What can I do?

My boyfriend is depressed but he won't seek help. Can you help?

What is ETC?

I need someone to talk to in my area, I feel really lonely.

Our telephone information service on 0845 123 23 20 is open 10am to 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (closed on Wednesday). Outwith these hours there is a 24 hour answer phone where messages will be followed up. You can also email us at info@dascot.org or use our web contact form. We aim to reply to emails within five working days. If you would prefer to write a letter, you can write to us at 11 Alva St, Edinburgh, EH2 4PH

What information can we provide?

We answer a wide variety of questions on depression. Have a look at the About Depression pages on this website as the answer you want may be there, but feel free to contact us if you can't find it. We will give you the answer ourselves or give you the details of someone else who can help.

If you just want a bit of support and listening from someone who understands depression contact us. While we are not a counselling service, we have a lot of experience of depression and empathise with and understand what you are going through. If you need counselling or more in depth support we can give you advice about how to go about getting it.

If you need urgent help

We can only provide help during our opening hours. If you need to speak to someone outwith those hours, please visit the crisis page for more information about alternative out-of-hours services.
