Research project: discrimination and accessing treatment
A sociology student from the University of Edinburgh is conducting research into why individuals may (or may not) delay presenting with symptoms of mental illness, particularly depression, to their General Practitioner (GP), due to the discrimination and stigma placed on mental illness by society. She wants to interview people who have experienced depression, or another mental illness. Read more about this research and how to get involved.
Look OK... Feel Crap? New Website from DAS
Our new website www.lookokfeelcrap.org was launched for Scottish National Depression Week 2008. The new site is aimed at young adults who may not use traditional services such as the phone line or self-help support groups and to move towards an online service that encourages and supports people across Scotland.
