Want to join arts psychotherapies groups?

Have you been feeling depressed?    Nothing seems to help as much as you would like?    Would you like to try arts therapies?  

Queen Margaret University are looking for adults currently experiencing depression to join arts psychotherapies groups. They will be offering groups of either art psychotherapy or movement psychotherapy facilitated by experienced therapists. The sessions will take place in central Edinburgh for 6 weeks (meetings twice a week for one hour) and will start in autum 2012 (most likey in Oct). No arts skills or therapy experience is required – everyone is welcomed!    

This project is a part of the research on arts therapies and depression undertaken by Ania Zubala (psychologist and PhD candidate) and supervised by Dr Vicky Karkou from the Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. (This research has gained QMU’s ethical approval.) Ania will be happy to answer any questions you might have at azubala@qmu.ac.uk. Interested?
