The Citizens Theatre and Solar Bear Theatre Company are running a project at this year’s Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival with a difference. They are using therapeutic theatre to help people express themselves and so achieve and maintain optimum well-being. 

They are looking for participants who use mental health services as the workshop deals with issues related to living with long-term health problems. No performance experience is necessary.

The group offers a safe and confidential space in which to express yourself and your experiences.

The therapeutic goals of the group are to:-

Build confidence

Enhance ability to speak out

Be with people

Find creative ways to express yourself and your experiences

The group is co-led by a drama artist and psychodramatist. They group will meet in the Citizens Theatre every Tuesday from 17th August from 5.30-7.30pm
